FAQ
If I delete PicLocked, can I get my images/videos back?
▼
No, PicLocked only stores media locally within the app's sandbox. Deleting the app will permanently delete all
media stored in PicLocked.
How does PicLocked stay private and secure?
▼
Your images and videos are stored locally on your device. PicLocked does not upload any of your media to the
cloud, ensuring that your content remains private and secure.
What if I forget my passcode?
▼
If you have enabled biometric authentication, you can use it to access PicLocked and reset your passcode in
the Settings tab. Otherwise, you will have to reinstall the app, which will result in the loss of all data
stored in PicLocked. We recommend enabling biometric authentication to avoid this situation.
How do I transfer the albums to a new device?
▼
We're currently working on import/export functionality for transferring albums to a new device. In the
meantime, you can bulk transfer your images/videos to your new device using AirDrop (iOS), and then add them
to PicLocked on your new device. We understand this is not ideal and appreciate your patience as we work on a
more seamless solution.
After adding images/videos, can I delete them from my Apple/Android album?
▼
Yes, once you add images/videos to PicLocked, you can safely delete them from your Apple/Android album without
affecting the copies stored in PicLocked.
Why can't I share live photos from my iOS Photos app?
▼
iOS does not support sharing live photos to third-party apps like PicLocked. To add live photos to PicLocked,
you can add them through PicLocked's built-in photo picker, which allows you to select live photos directly
from your iOS Photos library.
Can I save the images/videos to my device's album?
▼
Yes, you can save images/videos from PicLocked to your device's album. To do this, select the images/videos
you want to save, tap the share button, and choose "Save Image".
